This Privacy Policy details what information we collect when you use our virtual hairstyle preview tools, how we safeguard it, and our automated data destruction policies.
1. Information We Collect
We adhere strictly to data minimization principles. We only collect the minimal data necessary to deliver your hairstyle simulation:
- Uploaded Photographs: Front-facing selfies that you choose to upload to preview hair simulations.
- Anonymous Session Identifiers: A cryptographically signed session cookie (
anon_session) used to maintain your credits and generation queue without requiring social media login or account passwords. - Transaction Data: If you purchase a credit pack, our payment processor (Stripe, Inc.) securely collects your billing email and payment card details. HaircutPreview never stores full credit card numbers on our servers.
2. 24-Hour Automated Photo Deletion
Unlike traditional social media applications that retain user media indefinitely, HaircutPreview enforces a strict 24-hour expiration policy:
All original uploaded selfies and generated hairstyle preview outputs stored in our private cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) are scheduled for hard deletion upon generation. Automated cron jobs execute every 15 minutes to permanently erase all files exceeding 24 hours of age.
3. Artificial Intelligence & Model Training Restrictions
We do not use your selfies to train public AI foundation models. When you generate a haircut preview, your photo is processed ephemerally through private computational inference endpoints solely to calculate strand placement and forehead framing. Once generation finishes, your photo is never contributed to public image datasets or commercial training corpuses.
4. Biometric Data Clarification
HaircutPreview analyzes temporary 2D orbital and hairline facial landmarks to accurately position bangs and clipper guard cuts on your forehead. We do not construct mathematical biometric templates for user identification, surveillance, or cross-platform tracking.
5. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
Regardless of your geographic location, you possess full sovereignty over your data:
- Immediate Deletion: You may request immediate purging of your session and associated photos at any time by contacting our support team at [email protected].
- Right to Know & Access: You may request an export of all transaction records associated with your email address.
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or photographs to data brokers or advertising exchanges.
